Meet the Custodians

Say hello to our intrepid team of fundraisers, who are working tirelessly to help those people who are street-homeless and marginalised by traditional housing providers.

Alan Olver MBE

Alan Olver MBE (awarded in 2021), a man of Kent, left his hometown of Canterbury in 1970 to pursue a faith-driven vocation of service to others.

He works through the Salvation Army, Shropshire County Council, Telford Christian Council, and has independently established two homelessness charities; Maninplace and KiP Telford.

His achievements have been acknowledge by the Telford and Wrekin Council for his over forty years of tireless service to the homeless, by awarding him an Honorary Freeman of the Borough of Telford and Wrekin.

His experience, knowledge, and unassuming contribution to statutory third party and voluntary sectors continues to inform and drive strategic planning to provide for those on the margins of society.

Peter Ralten

Peter Ralten is the Commercial Director of Bischof + Klein UK, bringing over two decades of leadership experience in the packaging industry, where he has driven growth through product innovation and diversification.

Beyond his professional life, Peter is an active member of The Salvation Army — a Christian church known for putting faith into action through practical service.

Guided by this commitment, Peter serves as a custodian of The Intent to House Fund, a new initiative by KIP (registered charity). The fund aims to double donations up to £50,000 to help purchase a self-contained flat, one rooted in compassion and the belief that everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Outside of work, Peter enjoys travelling with his family and making music as part the local Salvation Army brass band.

Tracy Clay

A Chartered Accountant with over 25 years of experience, I have dedicated my later career to supporting charitable and non-profit organisations. As a Director of Finance for a Community Interest Company focused on homelessness, we work to reduce rough sleeping by collaborating with individuals, partners and providers.

My passion lies in advocating for marginalised communities, informed by both professional expertise and personal experience as a mother to four boys, including one who is neurodiverse.

Nay Nicholas

Nay has over 25 years’ experience in Graphic Design and initially joined the team to design the appeal logo. Since then, she has joined the team of Custodians and volunteers her time to manage the digital estate.

Amongst other things, she manages the website, edits and publishes blogs and social media content.

“I am deeply honoured to be a part of the Intent To House team and support an amazing initiative that has the potential to change the lives of people who are just not able to access traditional accommodation and services they desperately need.”
